Advantage Point Group, Inc. (APG) is looking to add a Senior Mechanical Designer to our team Facilities Engineering Design team in Saint Paul near the 3M Center.

Job Title: Senior Mechanical Designer

Company: Advantage Point Group (APG)

Location: St. Paul, Minnesota (near 3M)

Job Type: Full-time, Direct Hire, Mon-Fri, Core Hours: 8 am - 3 pm.

APG is an engineering consulting firm that offers engineering solutions with a full comprehension of the planning, development, design and construction processes that need to be present in all projects starting back in 1983. See

Types of Projects: Facilities Design, Offices, Labs, Data Centers and Industrial Plants. This is NOT a product development or machine design job.

Responsibilities

  • Design ventilation HVAC and exhaust systems using AutoCAD
  • Manage mechanical scope for projects at different design stages
  • Lead assignments for drawing, presentation, and system integration
  • Generate reports, drawings, and plans, ensuring project deliverables are met

Qualifications

  • 4 years of mechanical design experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office
  • Strong experience in commercial or industrial facility mechanical design projects
  • Able to perform heating and cooling load calculations
  • Expertise in HVAC, exhaust systems, plumbing, and utility piping design
  • Familiarity with hygiene codes and ventilation standards
  • Ability to communicate effectively and build strong relationships

Compensation And Benefits

  • Pay Rate: $40-$52/hour depending upon previous experience and qualifications.
