Chemist

Perm opportunity to join a growing electronics manufacturing services company. We are seeking a Chemist who will perform chemical solution composition within the manufacturing process. He/she will be responsible for analyzing process chemistries, establishing optimal chemical process makeup, and developing pilot-scale solutions to customer needs. The Chemist in conjunction with Process Engineering and Production will drive continuous improvement and ensure site objectives are met. Ensure product/process conformity to internal, customer, supplier, and third-party requirements.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Responsibility for any/all chemical solution compositions used in the manufacturing process, including but not limited to metal preparation, coat/print/develop lithography steps, metal etching and metal cleaning.
• Establish stable processes through process characterization, definition, and optimization.
• Establish proper chemical storage and handling procedures.
• Participate in activities that bring consistency to multi-shift processing such as SOP documentation, on the job training, certification, and re-certification practices.
• Support CAPEX expansion activities including feasibility runs, generating chemistry testing and optimization plans, and engineering release.
• Comply to PEI's Engineering Change Control policy and procedures.
• Support the Material Review Board (MRB) as necessary, which includes providing input and coordination of activities for the investigation and disposition of non-conforming products and components.
• Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities to acquire new business opportunities.

Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in chemistry or related field required.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Laboratory or manufacturing setting
• Experience with acid/base chemistry a bonus
