Custodian

Job Title: Custodian Location: Beverly Manufacturing Facility

Job Summary: The Custodian at our Beverly manufacturing facility plays a crucial role in maintaining cleanliness, safety, and orderliness throughout the premises. This position is responsible for ensuring that all areas of the facility, including production areas, restrooms, break rooms, and offices, meet the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and dusting to maintain cleanliness in all areas of the facility.
2. Empty and clean trash receptacles on a regular basis, ensuring proper disposal of waste materials according to company policies and procedures.
3. Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and floors, to maintain a hygienic environment for employees and visitors.
4. Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies and toiletries as needed, ensuring adequate stock levels are maintained at all times.
5. Assist in the setup and cleanup of meetings, events, and special projects as requested by management or other departments.
6. Inspect facility premises for any maintenance issues or safety hazards, reporting findings to the appropriate personnel for resolution.
7. Follow all safety protocols and procedures while performing cleaning tasks, including the safe handling and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
8. Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure a clean and orderly work environment is maintained at all times.
9. Adhere to company policies and regulations regarding cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards.
10. Perform other duties as assigned by the Facilities Manager or other members of management.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in janitorial or custodial work is advantageous.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift, carry, and move heavy objects as needed.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and overtime as required.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in various environmental conditions, including exposure to cleaning chemicals and fumes.
