Sanitation Lead

Hours: 12:00 am - 10:30 am, Sunday- Wednesday 4-day work week

Job Description: As the Lead Sanitation Technician at [Insert Company Name], you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our facilities. Working closely with the Sanitation Manager, you will lead a team of technicians and ensure that all cleaning procedures adhere to SQF/Food Safety and HACCP guidelines. This position offers an exciting opportunity to take on a leadership role in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Train, mentor, and assist sanitation technicians in all aspects of their duties.
• Assume leadership responsibilities in the absence of the Sanitation Manager.
• Assign work tasks and ensure their proper completion by the team.
• Assist with environmental swabbing and record-keeping activities.
• Conduct thorough cleaning of all areas of the buildings and grounds following established procedures.
• Ensure compliance with SQF/Food Safety and HACCP guidelines at all times.
• Complete all required paperwork accurately and promptly.
• Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) at all times.
• Safely operate sanitation equipment and perform preventive maintenance as needed.
• Communicate effectively with the Sanitation Manager regarding any issues or concerns.
• Assemble and disassemble equipment in a safe manner.
• Report safety issues to the manager or supervisor on duty.
• Collaborate with other departments as necessary to support overall operations.
  
  
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years of cleaning experience, preferably in a food manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read and comprehend procedures, work orders, safety data sheets, and other training materials related to food manufacturing and safety.
• Basic knowledge and operation of cleaning equipment listed under the Equipment Used section.
• Basic mechanical aptitude, including the ability to disassemble and reassemble equipment and perform preventive maintenance as needed.
