The role you’ll contribute: Employee Health LPN
The Employee Health Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works closely with the Regional Employee Health & Workers’ Comp Manager as well as with local facility HR/EH teams, to promote and provide a variety of occupational health care services our team members. The LPN performs a variety of services which including new hire physical assessments, immunizations, QTB Tests, blood/body fluid exposure surveillance, medical illness/injury triage, basic first aid, mask fit testing, drug screens etc. This position is responsible for maintaining a clean, orderly, and safe environment for all team members. The LPN follows all AdventHealth infection control policies and procedures and actively participates in a wide variety of quality assurance processes

Coordinate Procedures and scheduled patient follow up appointments
- Assists with pre-employment health assessments (Review of Employee Health program, color blind testing, medical health assessment, QTB Tests or Radiologic equivalent, Lab screening) prospective to the candidates first day of employment, arranging for physician’s follow-up to occur on all questionable pre-employment health assessments. In addition, assesses Laboratory and Radiology pre-employment screenings for indication of potential health problems.
- Maintains Employee Health records accurately and completely and takes appropriate measures to promote confidentiality of this information. Demonstrates an ability to assemble and maintain records appropriately in order to increase overall efficiency to maximum potential, while documenting in a clear, concise and objective manner.
- Works under standing orders from the Medical Director to perform various clinical duties. Maintains a working knowledge of various immunizations required for HCW’s in a hospital setting, adhering to the policies and procedures set by AdventHealth.
- Performs proper and legible documentation for orders, procedures and assessments in accordance with department policy, from check in to check out.
- Follows CDC isolation guidelines, infection control practices, demonstrates appropriate use of PPE, performs handwashing according to policy and enforces safety regulations. Supports quality standards and initiatives set by the department.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:
- Minimum qualifications:
- Graduate of accredited practical nursing program.
- Current Florida license as an LPN
- Current AHA BLS Certification and ability to maintain certification by quarterly skills assessment via RQI - Resuscitation Quality Improvement.
