Schedule: Full-time, Three (3) 12-hour shifts
Shift : Nights, 7:00 pm - 7:00 am

Unit Highlights:
The Intermediate Critical Care Unit at AdventHealth East Orlando is a 16-bed unit multi-systems unit with a cardiac blend. Nurse to patient ratios is 1:3, and assignments are made based on acuity. Our nurses have exposure to a wide array of patient conditions from a diverse patient population with cases including renal failure, respiratory failure with ventilator management, septic shock with MODS, pulmonary, post-cardiac and more.
Our multi-disciplinary Critical Care team consists of intensivists, registered nurses, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, case managers, social workers, and chaplains. Our nurses are fully engaged and are an integral part of patient rounds, case reviews, morbidity and mortality/performance improvement reviews, as well as focused professional practice in critical care.
Our nursing team works closely with our 24-hour intensivist team to provide optimal care for our patients and comfort for their families. We have an on-site provider, available for support should the patient require an escalation of care.
Our unit consists of highly engaged nurses with dedicated preceptors who love to teach eager new nurses. Critical care requires an educational curriculum and competency assessment beyond general critical care concepts. Our nurses received focused education and competency assessment for common critical care concepts, monitoring, procedures and devices.

AdventHealth East Orlando, a 305-bed community hospital that serves as one of AdventHealth's seven satellite facilities, became part of the AdventHealth system in 1990. At AdventHealth East Orlando, we strive to improve our patients' quality of life through a holistic approach to health care - mind, body and spirit - while remaining at the forefront of medical innovation.
During the past ten years, we've invested $122 million in facility improvements to serve the growing community. Among the recent additions and openings, we have an expanded Emergency Room, a Center for Medical Simulation and Education, a renovated Cancer Institute. Currently we are renovating our 24 bed ICU to a 40 bed Critical Care Unit that can take both intermediate and ICU level patients, we have invested in the newest technology for innovative safe care of our most critical patients.
The role you’ll contribute:
The ANM is a registered professional nurse who supports the Nurse Manager or Director in overall operations of their assigned unit. Is able to demonstrate critical thinking skills, creativity, and has the knowledge to manage resources to achieve quality performance, positive employee relations, and compliance with hospital guidelines. The ANM is skilled in coaching, mentoring, and leading a professional and technical team in the delivery of services to our patient population. The ANM assures quality of care is delivered to our patients and demonstrates effective stewardship of scarce resources. Is supportive of change activities on their unit and works to assure implementation of change that may occur. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

* Terms: 24-month Full-time Employment Contract Required for Sign-On and Relocation

Applicable experience required.
Internal Candidates and Rehires within 12 months are not eligible.
Relocation Eligibility:
- Must live 50 miles outside of campus address.
Qualifications
The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :
Minimum qualifications :
Associate’s degree in Nursing (ASN)
Specific experience as delineated by the unit of employment
Current valid State of Florida or multistate license as a Registered Nurse
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Advanced Life Support (ACLS) Certification
EKG competency testing
Preferred qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree of Nursing (BSN) or Master’s degree in Nursing (MSN)
Prior management experience
Professional Certification
