**The role you’ll contribute:**
The Clinical Pharmacist shall support the mission of the hospital and pharmacy department by preventing, identifying and resolving drug related problems to assure patient safety, improve patient satisfaction and minimize costs.
**The value you’ll bring to the team:**
Actively participate as a member in the inpatient Code Blue and Stroke Alert response team.
Responsible for the provision of comprehensive clinical pharmacy services for the Emergency Department and all associated areas (e.g. Trauma Bay, Pediatrics, Brandon stand-alone Emergency Department) including pharmacokinetic and therapeutic consultation.
Performs complete medication order scrutiny, drug profile review and monitoring of critically ill patients to identify, prevent, or mitigate medication-related problems.
Actively functions a member of clinical pharmacy services and hospital-wide clinical committees to improve on providing best quality care for critically ill patients
Participate in the development of medication use management programs within AdventHealth Tampa including clinical guidelines, critical pathways, disease management, drug use programs and serve as an educational resource for healthcare staff.
Actively participate as a member in the Residency Advisory Committee, ED rotation preceptor, longitudinal residency preceptor for Code Blue and Stroke Alert, and residency preceptor for patient care and medication use evaluation projects
**Qualifications**
Preferred Experience:
Graduate of a Doctor of Pharmacy degree program or Bachelors of Science in Pharmacy
Post Graduate Year One (PGY1) AND Post Graduate Year Two (PGY2) Pharmacy residency in Emergency Medicine or Critical Care
OR
· PGY1 residency plus contemporary hospital or Emergency Medicine practice experience (3 years) consistent with practice needs of institution.
