**The role you’ll contribute:**
With a focus on data integrity, productivity, and customer service, the Senior HR Specialist is an individual contributor who performs a wide variety of functions within HR with a moderate level of guidance and direction, focusing on workforce management transactions and Human Capital Management (HCM) system maintenance. This individual is responsible for processing transactions while working closely with HR Business Partners and managers to ensure compliance with federal, local, and state regulations. This position also works closely with other members of the Shared Services team to ensure data changes are completely accurately and in a way to prevent negative impact to system functionality. In addition, this position serves as an escalation path to analyze and resolve more complex problems. The Senior Specialist works on special projects as assigned by the HR Administration Supervisor and Manager.

Execute work prioritization and accuracy measures to ensure data changes and customer experience meets service and operational level agreements
Serve as primary support for call and case escalations from Employee Contact Center to research and resolve as needed
Provide escalation assistance and coverage by working a rotating schedule during the standard HRSS operating hours
Research complex and non-routine issues escalated through calls and cases to determine action for resolution
Serve as point of contact for facility re-organization requests and complete the research and evaluation required to determine and execute the data changes to accurately meet the outcomes desired with minimal negative impact to end users
Represent HR Admin with facility leadership and HRSS project team in acquisitions
Research and obtain information needed to accurately build position structures and assignments to support physician practice acquisitions
Liaise with facility HR to effectively research and complete manual hire/transfers and physician hire activities
Evaluate re-organization requests and establish a plan to make position adjustments/create positions in a manner that achieves the desired outcome with minimal negative impact, communicating with requester, IT, and facility HR
Research escalated issues related to position management to determine the root cause, impact on other systems/team, and corrections needed, following with making recommendations for resolution and completing changes as needed
Liaise with HR Business Partners and Corporate HR to obtain the details needed to support transitions related to high-level/sensitive position changes for executives
Collaborate with HR Business Partners to validate and obtain approval for out-of-process transaction requests
Build relationships and collaborate with other HR SS teams to establish solutions on escalated issues
Utilize critical thinking and problem solving to research and resolve escalated system and data related issues
Support in the development and maintenance of HR Admin process and training documentation
Participate in the evaluation of existing processes and recommendation of new approaches to drive continual improvements in the efficiency of the department and services performed
Maintain appropriate documentation in employee electronic file for changes completed
Maintain understanding of HR policies and procedures
Maintain current knowledge of federal, state, and local employment law
Document transaction and case status to properly indicate stage and method of completion
Produce and maintain functional records and reports
**Qualifications**
**The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed** **:**
**EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED** **:**
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
Three years relevant human resources experience (preferred) or customer service field
Knowledge of human resource related areas of compliance, including federal, state, and local employment laws and healthcare/industry specific regulations
Human Capital Management (HCM) experience, especially PeopleSoft, preferred
**_EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE PREFERRED:_**
Diversified experience in human resources field or in a generalist role
Two years’ experience as an HR Specialist or similar position within AHS Shared Services
