The role you’ll contribute: Assists in the overall day to day operations of Therapy Services with direct patient care as well as non-patient care related tasks. Directly responsible to the Clinical Coordinators but receives direction from all licensed personnel in the department. The value you’ll bring to the team: Assists the therapists in activities related to direct patient care within the legal and professional scope of a Therapy Services Technician. Follows all duties and responsibilities assigned by licensed Therapy Services personnel. Applies modalities such as moist heat and ice packs, as directed by the therapist, monitoring patient response and reporting to the therapist immediately an adverse reaction by the patient. Assists the therapist with activities of daily living and patient ambulation, using walkers/crutches, transfers and assisting in exercise programs in a timely manner. Transports patients with medical record as assigned, using appropriate safety precautions and good body mechanics. Escorts patients into the treatment area, setting up the treatment booths for each patient's needs and cleaning treatment area after the treatment. Qualifications The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed: Minimum qualifications : High school education or equivalent. 1-3 months on-the-job training. Preferred qualifications: Previous PT Tech experience preferred.
