**The role you’ll contribute:**
The Staffing Coordinator will be responsible for coordination of scheduling and assignment of nursing personnel. Maintains database for regulatory agency compliance, productivity and serves as a resource for scheduling and payroll system questions.

Accurately maintain database (computer and manual systems) regularly (daily and monthly) for staffing areas for quality assessment.
Participates in positive customer relations with both internal and external customers.
Equitable distribution and assignment of nursing resources in conjunction with nursing leadership
Equitable distribution of shift availability.
Informing Managers of staffing/employee issues through e-mails/reports.
Prompt notification of contract agencies for cancellation/confirmations, payroll issues, or employee issues.
Knowledgeable and responsible for staying current on staffing guidelines and policies as directed by Manager so as to stay within budget restraints.
Coordinates and assigns nursing float staff according to guidelines and resources. Places staff in accordance with priority and needs in a timely manner.
Accurate data entry for nursing hours for all assigned units and staff in computerized scheduling system.
Accurate activation/deactivation of contract labor in the system.
Identifies and participates in process improvement activities.
Maintain upkeep of personnel overstaffing records.
Creates and maintains records of work done on a shift by shift, daily, weekly and monthly basis.
Determines priorities for staffing needs in conjunction with the nursing unit charge nurses and nursing supervisors.
Functions well in emergency situations, i.e excessive unscheduled absences, natural/man-made disasters, mass casualties, or excessively high census.
Demonstrates ability to investigate and resolve complaints.
Demonstrates effective problem-solving and ability to prioritize workflow.
**Qualifications**
**The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:**
**Minimum qualifications** :
High School Diploma or equivalent
2 years clerical, staffing, or patient placement experience
Experience in a health care setting,
