**Description**

We are currently seeking qualified candidates for an Administrator position for AdventHealth Connerton located in Land O’ Lakes, Florida.
GENERAL SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the market Chief Executive Officer, the administrator is responsible for providing leadership, authority and accountability for all operations of AH Connerton, in accordance with current Federal, State and local regulations and in harmony with hospital policy to ensure that cost effectiveness and excellence in all aspects of the operations are appropriately maintained at all times.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for the operational success of the Connerton campus. Works through the hospital leadership team to:
Ensure that services in each department are provided in a manner that meets all applicable regulatory licensure and accrediting regulations.
Ensure the most efficient and appropriate use of labor, space, equipment, and other resources resulting in excellent clinical care, service and EBDIT.
Develop and foster effective collaboration between clinical departments, medical staff and other affiliated services fulfilling the hospital’s strategic goals and objectives.
Builds strong relationships with sister facilities with AH and other STAC hospitals within the market.
Ensures there is an effective patient referral process for new patient admissions that is financially sustainable.
Provides day-to-day operational oversight for existing campus services, working collaboratively with department directors, managers, and team-leads.
Develops and executes a comprehensive physician development plan through the formation of strong connections/relationships with market physicians – independent and employed.
Interfaces effectively with physicians, patients, families, staff, and external contacts to establish positive relationships.
Contributes to development of new business strategies to enhance market share and improve overall performance.
Enhances, cultivates, and develops multi-disciplinary relationships to foster open communication, problem solving, development of new services, improvement of existing services and identification of market needs.
Facilitates and works in a matrixed approach in developing hospital services and displays an ability to work effectively within the hospital system’s decision-making and organizational structures.
Represents the hospital to internal stakeholders and the external market; builds community relationships.
Ensures quality performance in process improvement.
Ensures Leadership is managing according to hospital department policies and procedures, ensuring a healthy and safe work environment.
Interprets and implements directives and policies issued by the Board of Directors relative to the operation of the hospital as assigned by the market President/CEO
Is receptive to the needs and concerns of all staff, physicians, volunteers, and community representatives.
Drives the short term and long-term strategic goals of the hospital.
Establishes and revises long-range plans which support the institution's philosophy and general objectives.
Maintains professional affiliations to enhance professional growth and remains current with the latest trends in hospital administration.
Serves as a team leader with the ability to create a positive working environment.
Advocates for patient’s rights, striving to understand the patient’s needs while ensuring competent and dignified patient care.
**Qualifications**
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
Ability to build and maintainappropriate peer relationships to facilitate organizational objectives.
Knowledge of and appropriate implementation of applicable regulatory standards, rules, and guidelines: Joint Commission, State of Florida, and other related agencies.
Knowledge of hospital operations, finance, and management
Ability to communicate both verbally and in written form, including public presentations and professional correspondence.
Ability to utilize standard computer related applications.
Capable of analyzing financial, volume, and market data.
Models appropriate behavior and creates an environment of mutual respect and caring.
Upholds professional standards and conduct.
Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to provide care, based on physical, psychosocial, educational, safety, and related criteria, appropriate to the age of the patients served in his/her assigned service area as indicated below. The skills and knowledge needed to provide such care may be gained through education, training, or experience.
Establishes and maintains courteous, tactful, and professional level of interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with: • Consumers • Medical staff • Community • Co-workers • External business associates.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSURE REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Hospital or Business Administration, or other appropriate field.
3 years of experience in healthcare management
Leadership, communication and interpersonal skills required.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND LICENSURE PREFERRED:
Master’s degree in Business or Health Care Administration
7 years of experience in healthcare management
1-3 years of experience in Long Term Acute Care
Clinical Experience
ACHE Certification
