JOB DESCRIPTION
Adventist Health Reedley, is one of four medical centers that forms Adventist Health in the Central Valley, consisting of 4,000 associates and providers. This medical center serves the communities of southern Fresno County and northern Tulare County. It provides the following care services: emergency, Inpatient and outpatient surgery, wound care, and birthing services which include a 24-hour tele-neonatologist and pediatricians in partnership with Valley Children's Hospital.
Job Summary:
Provides psychological services to patients receiving mental health services. Diagnoses and treats emotional and mental disorders within the scope of licensure. Assesses and provides psychotherapeutic interventions as appropriate.
Job Requirements:
Education and Work Experience:
- Ph.D. or Psy.D: Required
Licenses/Certifications:
- Clinical Psychologist licensure in state of practice: Required
- Psychologist (PSYCH): Required
Essential Functions:
- Conducts psychological screening, assessment and/or evaluations on all patients referred for examination and/or mental health treatment. Prepares treatment plans for all patients requiring specialized therapy.
- Coordinates with consulting psychiatrist to ensure patients requiring evaluation for medication, or re-evaluation of current medications, are seen by the psychiatrist/physician in a timely manner. Ensures the psychiatrist is aware of any information pertinent to the patient’s clinical condition.
- Interprets a patient's self report of behavior and/or appropriate psychological tests. Delivers supportive services, consultation and educational programs for the department.
- Communicates clinical findings in writing, as well as through Mental Health consultation with organizational staff. Provides documentation in accordance with policies and procedures.
- Participates in interdisciplinary treatment team meetings. Utilizes electronic medical record system (EMR) as applicable throughout the scope of duties and responsibilities.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

- Pay RangeThe estimated base pay for this position is $98,787 to $148,181. Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through years of experience, differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
