Summary/Objective
Program manual and/or computer controlled measuring machines to perform metrology inspections.
Essential Functions

- Create CMM programs that are operator friendly
- Ability to troubleshoot/correct CMM errors
- Perform general CMM maintenance and calibration.
- Measure parts for conformity with specifications.
- Use Safe practices to promote and maintain a safe work environment.
Competencies
- A working knowledge of quality and calibration methods with a high degree of initiative and problem solving skills.
- Experience with measurement equipment (form tracing, surface finish testing, microscope, etc) and verifiable CMM programming experience.
- Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information skillfully; develop alternative solutions.
- Effective and efficient interaction with coworkers at all levels; works well in group problem solving situations; uses feedback.
- Exercise knowledge of drawing interpretations (GD&T); applied design principles.
- Ability to act and think analytically with exceptional attention to detail.

Required Education and Experience
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) and related experience and/or training. Preferred background would include an Associate's Degree in a technical-related field.
- Computer Skills -MS Excel, MS Word, CAD programs, and knowledge of either PC-DMIS/LK-DMIS GEOMeasure or MCOSMOS.
