Business Intelligence Analyst
Preferred Location(s): Phoenix, AZ or La Vista, NE

Summary:
The Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst is primarily responsible for creating and managing Business Intelligence and analytics solutions that turn data into knowledge using Microsoft Power BI. This Business Intelligence Analyst role is highly collaborative with other developers on the team, department leaders and SMEs within the Supervision department.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop creative and interactive data visualizations
- Map business requirements to source data structures and developer data models from data located within multiple data stores utilizing data solutions such as SQL, Sybase IQ, or Snowflake
- Partner with IT to identify and store required data sets
- Collaborate with business leaders and SMEs to understand reporting and analytics needs within their functions
- Analyze report data for accuracy and report on potential quality errors
- Participate in peer review process to ensure all reports are accurate prior to distribution
- Interpret and present recommendations to management for implementation of improvements to gain efficiency within the department
- Daily troubleshooting
- Effectively communicate with Supervision, Compliance and other departments as needed to determine requirements and specifications
- Partner with business owners to prioritize projects to ensure the most important items are being successfully addressed
- Provide regular communications on the status of assigned items, both currently being worked and those in the backlog
- Provide ongoing analytics expertise and insights into data trends across the operational segments
- Participate in dashboard demonstration and educational sessions
- Provide ad-hoc data analysis and support to business functions
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education Requirements:
- Associates Degree from accredited university/college in Computer Science or related field preferred, high school diploma (or equivalent) in combination with significant experience will be considered in lieu of degree. Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Basic Requirements:
- 3 years related experience in financial services industry
- 1 year experience with data analytics or business intelligence
- Ability to quickly learn new systems, processes, and software
- Ability to collect and evaluate systems and information and identify appropriate solutions
- Ability to effectively communicate in person, via telephone, and/or by email with customers, co-workers, and various business contacts in a courteous and professional manner
- Ability to draft internal and external communications regarding various reporting updates and enhancements
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and handle multiple tasks in pressure situations to meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain complete confidentiality of information
- Ability to effectively function as a team player
- Skill in utilizing various software packages such as Microsoft Office, Outlook, Teams and Excel
- Ability to quickly adapt to change
- Ability to plan and implement organizational and department goals
- Ability to maintain high concentration level
- Ability to be at work on a regular and predictable basis
Preferred Requirements:
- Experience working with Microsoft Power Automate and Power Apps
- Proficient in SQL
