Medical Assistant

Job Summary:
We seek a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. As a Medical Assistant, you will be crucial in providing quality patient care and assisting healthcare professionals in various clinical and administrative tasks. Responsibilities:
- Assist healthcare professionals with patient examinations and procedures
- Obtain and record vital signs, medical history, and other relevant patient information
- Prepare examination rooms and ensure they are clean, stocked, and organized
- Administer vaccines and injectable medications (eg. vitamin B12) as directed by healthcare providers

- Phlebotomy

- EKG
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for testing
- Assist with patient education and provide support and guidance as needed
- Schedule appointments, manage patient records, and maintain accurate documentation
- Handle administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, managing emails, and processing paperwork

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and basic life support techniques (BLS certification required)
- Proficiency in medical administrative tasks such as scheduling, and record keeping
- Experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems is highly desirable
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and professionalism
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules

Pay: $18.00 - $23.13 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
