Fincantieri Marine Group currently has an opportunity for a Corporate FP&A Analyst at the Washington, D.C. location.

POSITION SUMMARY
The Fincantieri Marine Group (FMG) Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) Analyst is an integral member of the FMG financial team and will report to the FMG FP&A Director. The FP&A Analyst supports the development and improvement of the financial function that is the analytical engine of the organization, providing insight and support to leadership for decision-making and development of strategic plans. This position has visibility to all the business units (shipyards) and the corporate level, working with various levels of management.
The FP&A Analyst will work with business units (shipyards) to ensure timely preparation and consolidation of managerial reporting, budget and forecast information, and prepare group level reports and analysis to communicate results with leadership at the operating, corporate, and parent company level. Travel to the Wisconsin business units may be required as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Must abide by and enforce all organizational policies and procedures.
- Reporting:
- Develops, implements, and maintains an effective reporting system, forecast and simulation tools and runs analysis that will provide senior leadership with appropriate analytical tools to establish goals and measure performance across the Company's portfolio of businesses.
- Compiles and updates business unit and company consolidated financial and operational performance reports, including historical and forecasted, using appropriate metrics.
- Following the company business calendar, the FP&A Analyst collects all managerial reports compiled and released by the shipyards in order to keep track of trends, resulting implications, key actions, and strategic implications.
- Business performance management and improvement
- Analyze current and past trends of key industrial and financial performance indicators including all areas of revenue, operating costs and capital expenditures with the aim of identifying potential business opportunities and support the decision making process of the management.
- Support the FP&A Director and Shipyards' finance teams in the implementation of the business rhythm and improvement plants.
- Support the preparation of presentations for the Board and Shareholder meetings, monthly/ quarterly senior leadership meetings and various strategic committees of the Company.
- Forecast and simulation tool:
- Support the data collection of annual FMG operating plan and budget process in collaboration and providing guidance to the Shipyards' finance teams.
- Perform scenario modeling/ sensitivity analysis for the development and growth of FMG business and provide visibility on potential future scenarios.
- Participate as member of the finance team in the Company decision making process identifying and evaluating finance implications
- Ad hoc analysis:
- Develop ad-hoc reporting and analysis on past, current and future trends in key performance indicators
- Develop financial models and analyses to support strategic business decisions.
- Analyze complex financial information and reports to provide accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making processes.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in economics, management engineering, finance or accounting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including high level of Power Point and Excel capabilities
- Previous experience in strategic consulting or Business planning and control is a plus.
- General knowledge and experience with enterprise financial systems (SAP, BAAN) and EVMS is a plus
- Must have a strong knowledge of accounting and finance policies and procedures

- Strong business acumen with deep level of intellectual curiosity and target achievement orientation.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate and collaborate at all levels within organization along with external parties.
- Accuracy and attention to detail required in all aspects of financial reporting and analysis duties.
- Ability to analyze existing processes/ performance, identify issues and suggest opportunities for improvements and increased efficiencies.
- General knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
- Must have strong Microsoft Office suites computer skills including high level of Power Point and Excel.
- Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
- Must have the ability to maintain a professional demeanor.
- Must have ability to maintain confidentiality.
