Directs the administration and coordination of multidisciplinary patient care services, including clinical, financial, operational, and personnel management to meet the goals and objectives of the organization in accordance with its standards, policies and regulatory requirements.
This is a remote first role with travel to the assigned areas of Green Bay, Manitowac, Sheboygan, Northern Milwaukee WI as needed.
Major Responsibilities:
- Establishes and maintains home care and hospice policies and procedures that are in full compliance with all appropriate local, state, federal and national accreditation body rules and regulations. Ensures that clinical areas and staff are in full compliance with such rules and regulations.
- Develops collaborative and cooperative relationships with customers, physicians, community organizations and entities of Aurora at Home within respective region area.
- Develops, recommends and implements the annual operating plan and budgets in conjunction with Sr. Director and Finance to meet the strategic direction of the organization. Operates within budget. Monitors productivity, clinical quality, and service quality performance to meet agreed upon benchmarks.
- Identifies business opportunities and community needs that are consistent with identified business criteria. Presents opportunities to the administrative team.
- Identifies methods of improving quality standards through collaboration with customer groups (clients, physicians, employees) and participation in continuing education opportunities.
- Creates plans and quality improvement activities for managers to meet or exceed our strategic plan.
- Acts as a consultant and resource to staff.
- Performs human resources responsibilities for staff which include interviewing and selection of new employees, promotions, staff development, performance evaluations, compensation changes, resolution of employee concerns, corrective actions, terminations, and overall employee morale.
- Develops and recommends operating and capital budgets and controls expenditures within approved budget objectives.
- Responsible for understanding and adhering to the organization's Code of Ethical Conduct and for ensuring that personal actions, and the actions of employees supervised, comply with the policies, regulations and laws applicable to the organization's business.
Licensure, Registration, and/or Certification Required:
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices, or
- Physical Therapist license issued by the state of Wisconsin, or
- Occupational Therapist license issued by the state of Wisconsin, or
- Speech-Language Pathology license issued by the state of Wisconsin.
Education Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, or
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, or
- Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy, or
- Bachelor's Degree in Speech Pathology.
Experience Required:
- Typically requires 7 years of experience in clinical nursing or rehabilitation including experience in a home health care setting. Includes 3 years of management experience in managing staff and budgets.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must demonstrate and ability to organize, plan and delegate work effectively and efficiently.
- Must demonstrate ability to resolve conflict, motivate staff and interact with superiors, peers and subordinates in a direct and professional manner.
- Must possess the ability to solve problem and make independent judgments and decisions based on experience and good judgment.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
- Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
- Position requires travel and thus there is exposure to road and weather hazards.
- Must be able to sit approximately 70% of the workday.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs. occasionally.
- Exposure to a normal office environment.
- Occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals, loud noises or hazardous equipment.
