What are the responsibilities and job description for the Childbirth Educator - RN - as needed position at Advocate Health?
Major Responsibilities
- Provides childbirth education to the community and ensure lessons are consistent with established class curriculum.
- Adjusts program educational materials to fit participates needs.
- Submits role call and evaluation forms to the education administrative assistant or manager.
- Operates and troubleshoots all equipment.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the team member practices.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing.
- No experience required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) or similar products.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities.
- Requires physical activity standing, walking, sitting, lifting and bending,
- May be required to lift 10-25 lbs. occasionally when transporting education materials.
- Must have functional speech, vision and hearing.
- May be exposed to the following hazards: electrical. Will be required to wear personalized protective equipment (PPE) as is appropriate.
- Generally exposed to a normal office environment.
- Position requires travel. May be exposed to road and weather hazards.
- Operates all equipment necessary to perform the job.
