Position Summary

The Training and Support Specialist (TSS) is professional position within Advocates providing quality assurance oversight and administrative support to our Agency Supported Self-Directed and Self-Hired Community Habilitation Services.  The person in this position works as part of a team to ensure the quality and compliance of documentation required by Medicaid and OPWDD. 

 

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

 

Training and Support Specialist Responsibilities:

  • Review Community Habilitation documentation (Using the cloud-based digital documentation system Evero) for quality and completeness and review for compliance with all state and Medicaid Community Habilitation regulations.
  • Report to Director of Training and Support regarding compliance and quality issues on Community Habilitation documentation/Daily Service Notes. 
  • Maintain individual records and data required by OPWDD and Medicaid to support Medicaid billing (ex. Daily Service Notes/Monthly Summary Notes).
  • Assist with record keeping, gathering required documentation for Community Hab. Services, scanning, filing, mailing and providing follow up as needed.
  • Provide administrative support including data entry, continuously updating tracker information, and compiling data
  • Assist in facilitating the correction of documentation errors, provide assistance to Mentors with corrections/training as needed.
  • Oversee Help Center functions.
  • Provide training and assistance to employees and individuals/families on the use of cloud-based digital documentation system (eVero).
  • Work with Mentors to facilitate correction of ASCH and SHCH documentation errors, providing continuous support and retraining as needed.

Qualifications


  • Education and Previous Experience Requirements

    • Minimally preferred 2 years of experience working within Medicaid/OPWDD service system, previous experience providing documentation quality and compliance review, training experience, Associates/Bachelor’s Degree preferred

    • Must have proficiency in use of technology/computers including use of Word, Excel, email
    • Must have the ability to work as part of an integrated team
    • Must demonstrate a general knowledge of services provided

     

     

     

     

    Additional Requirements

    • Must adhere to the policies and procedures of Advocates Incorporated.
    • Must complete required background checks

    Job-related physical abilities needed in order to perform the job in a satisfactory manner.
