Team Lead - Alliances Partnerships
We're looking for an experienced and motivated leader to join our Commercial Partnerships team. You will build, mentor, and coach a team of alliance partner managers who are responsible for growing strategic alliance partner relationships (GSI, SI, etc) and channel revenue, and Adyen as the financial services solution of choice for partners. You are comfortable streamlining team operations, encouraging effective collaboration, and engaging with executives at all levels. As a critical role in the continued success of our North America operations, you will help to iterate our culture and build an amazing team environment that will create future leaders for Adyen.
You have proven success and are comfortable working as part of a global team, encouraging effective collaboration across time zones and continents, and engaging with senior executives at all levels both internally and within our partner ecosystem.
What you'll do
- Define the mid-to-long (1-3 year) NA strategy for Alliances that support Adyen's objectives and align with our global Partnerships team while leading a newly formed team of ~4 members
- Prioritize NA strategy and individually help deliver on the highest impact opportunities to deliver on commercial goals
- Apply your broad expertise in partnerships enabling the broader team to make business decisions that support the wider global alliances team
- Serve as a senior executive stakeholder, providing strategic and consultative advice to influence the payments strategy of our partners
- Work closely with Marketing, Product and Sales teams to ensure effective collaboration
- Motivate and coach team members, and encourage creativity and autonomy
- Create an inspiring and collaborative team environment with an open communication / feedback culture.
- Set clear individual and team goals focused on revenue growth. Report on performance and metrics at an executive level

Who you are
- 3-5 years experience in managing teams and building executive level enterprise relationships
- 10 years experience in alliances partnerships or channel sales in a payments / fin service related field
- An energetic self-starter with proven commercial edge, a track record of delivering results and the ability to build long term relationships
- Comfortable and excited by being responsible for commercial goals and creating a measurable impact for the business
- Can balance strategic thinking with world-class execution (brilliant basics)
- Excited to lead and manage time-sensitive, cross-functional initiatives in a fast-paced, highly entrepreneurial and collaborative environment
- An excellent communicator and team player with strong leadership skills and technical understanding
- This role is based out of our San Francisco office and multiple times per week requires early morning meetings with our global teams and partners
