Job Description
This role is focused on leveraging technical expertise and thought leadership to lead planning, analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation throughout the application lifecycle.The position is hybrid, and office days are in downtown Madison, Wisconsin.
The position provides technical and functional solution leadership on Oracle's Energy Utility Customer to Meter (C2M) product. It involves collaborating with business sponsors, functional and technical leads, and external consultants to drive continuous improvement, optimize application support procedures and standards, and deliver fixes and enhancements within an agile delivery team. The role will also be responsible for guiding the team through current workflows, upgrades, system changes, and ongoing maintenance.
Preferred candidates will have functional architecture, and design skills along with experience implementing customer, metering, and billing solutions for utility (electric, gas, water, wastewater) customers or experience implementing recurring billing systems in other industries, such as cable or telecommunications. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assess and identify opportunities to optimize functionality of Oracle's C2M solution.
- Lead workstreams for prioritizing and implementing features and functionality.
- Design solutions and collaborate with the team to implement value-added features.
- Research, plan, and analyze project scope and requirements.
- Provide timely support and resolution by investigating issues and leading root cause analysis.
- Foster a collaborative environment and mentor team members.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
- Five to seven years' of experience in relevant enterprise software implementations and support.
- Experience leading development teams and working with business stakeholders through the application lifecycle.
- Experience and ability to run functional and technical workshops with a large and diverse audience.
- Experience and ability to lead the design, build, test, and deployment of solutions under the Oracle Utilities Framework.
- Experience and ability to map customer requirements to the existing solution and advise on solutions and workarounds capable of satisfying end-user requirements.
- Able to capture the configurations required for the product and create a configuration document for the developers.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Project management skills.
- Technical and functional knowledge of system planning, analysis and design techniques and methodologies used in business software applications, and ability to apply these techniques to optimize solution functionality and performance.
