Job Description

The Water Business Line of AECOM is actively seeking a dynamic GIS Specialist II for immediate employment in the Pittsburgh, PA office.

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Works under direct supervision to create, edit and maintain spatial and attribute data.


• Uses concepts, practices and procedures to extract and provide GIS data to clients.


• Uses ArcGIS Pro and ESRI suite to manipulate data and perform geospatial analysis


• Works with web data and assists with web maps and application production in Enterprise ArcGIS, Portal and AGOL.


• Provides mapping and graphical support for reports, proposals and outreach.


• Reads and interprets engineering drawings.


• Uses Python, R, SQL, Arcade to program solutions of limited scope and complexity.


• Data is provided from a level III for database entry and/or providing basic figures for projects and presentations.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• BA/BS in Geography, Environmental Science, or related field plus 2 years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

Preferred Qualifications:

• Strong written and verbal communication skills


• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite


• Familiar with Utility Networks


• Master's Degree in GIS


• Strong understanding of GIS principles, concepts, and terminology

Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $60,000.00 - $75,000.00.
