Job Description
AECOM has an exciting opportunity for a Brownfield Redevelopment Specialist to join our Remediation team. You will work with a diverse team of technical leaders across a broad range of practice areas delivering remediation consulting services in support of Brownfield redevelopment. This position could be remote and based out of any major AECOM in the Northeast.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate an established career in the environmental field, specific to contaminated site investigation and remediation, including facilitating the redevelopment of sites.
The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively with members of the project team, clients, and AECOM operations management, and can work both independently and as a part of a project team.
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to the following:
- Developing business relationships with clients eligible for state or federal funding for brownfields redevelopment
- Preparing grant applications
- Evaluating assessment, cleanup, and redevelopment strategies for individual sites
- Developing remediation and redevelopment plans and specifications
- Providing engineering support and leadership during brownfields redevelopment construction activities
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- BA/BS 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- Valid Driver's License with a good driving record
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Sciences, or a related field
- 7 years of experience in Remediation
- Experience specific to Brownfield Redevelopment is preferred but not required
- Knowledge and experience with state/ local funding options
- Established relationships with municipalities, redevelopment authorities or other clients with brownfield redevelopment goals
- Experience with Assessment, Cleanup and Redevelopment Exchange System (ACRES) database is preferred but not required

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range (for New York only) for this position is $90,000 - $162,000 Exempt
