Job Description
AECOM Transportation is seeking a Civil Engineer / GIS Specialist to support the development and maintenance of roadway, parking, and airfield GIS networks, as it pertains to facilities, infrastructure, and utility information. The position can be based out of AECOM offices in either Chelmsford, MA or Chicago, IL.
This position is expected to start in Summer 2023.
Under the direction of the Project Manager, this position is responsible for:
- Maintaining GIS data layers and procedures
- Creating, updating, and integrating data sets from surveys and other sources
- Preparing and plotting maps for paper and online distribution
- Importing and converting data into various formats and spatial projections
- Loading GIS data to the GIS system and integration into other software systems
- Assisting in GIS system testing/debugging
- Assisting in training GIS functionality and benefits to system users
- Travel as needed up to 25%
