Job Description
AECOM seeks a Civil Engineer I to join our Environmental business line Remediation team in the Conshohocken, PA office. The successful candidate will work with a diverse team of technical leaders across various practice areas delivering professional consulting services to our key clients.
The successful candidate will provide technical skills on projects within the department and will develop strong relationships with the team and clients to enable pursuit of new opportunities. The successful candidate will be able to communicate effectively with project team members, clients, site personnel and office management, and work independently and as part of a project team.
The successful candidate will be committed to the team's success and growth; will rigorously apply safety policies and procedures; will manage the technical, cost and schedule elements of project delivery for their assignments; and will effectively manage the quality of their project calculations and deliverables within the bounds of the AECOM Quality Management System.
The job responsibilities for the position include but are not limited to:
Performs specific and limited portions of a broader assignment of an experienced engineer.
Gathers and correlates basic engineering data using established and well-defined procedures.
Works on detailed or routine engineering assignments involving calculations and relatively simple tests.
Proposes approach to solve new problems encountered.
Identifies discrepancies in results.
Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with moderate supervision.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
BA/BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Valid Driver’s License and must be able to pass AECOM’s Motor Vehicle Records review.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master's Degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability or Engineering
1 years of relevant experience at an engineering consulting firm or a governmental agency.
Experience as a technical contributor on general civil and/or remediation projects.
Ability to proactively assist in technical efforts and project team staff.
Experience on large-scale projects.
Experience with storage tank, manufactured gas plant, renewable energy, landfill, and/or air projects.
OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER training certification.
