Job Description
AECOM is seeking a Construction Engineering to be based in New York, NY. Will operate as a Construction Engineer, under limited supervision, conducts work requiring independent evaluation, selection, adaptation and modification of standard techniques, procedures, and criteria.
Responsibilities:
Manage and provide document control of all project files.
Supervise all design and construction activities associated with the installation civil infrastructure.
Collaborate with the construction contractor activity to develop an efficient and cost-effective plan to implement the work, within the scheduled timeline and budget.
Monitor adherence to approved plans, specifications, and appropriate governing code.
Interface, in field meetings and during daily field site inspections, with the construction contractor’s work force, primarily with management but also foremen and field supers, as appropriate to implement the work.
Report as required per project work plans and protocols.
Identify deficient contractor work, monitor, and verify that the Contractor effectively corrects deficient work.
Record and drive to resolution corrective actions in accordance with project work plans.
Monitor Contractor compliance with the Contractor's Safety and Health Plan and with specific Safe Work Plans.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
BA/BS plus six years of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Minimum 8 years of experience working on construction projects in construction management.
OSHA 30-hour safety course certification preferred, or ability to obtain within six months.
Experience with the installation of significant civil infrastructure, including foundations, roads and utilities.
Demonstrated experience of collaboration in a diverse and inclusive team, working together toward technical excellence and project success.
Preferred Requirements
Certified Construction Manager (CCM)
Ability to obtain NYS PE License

Offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $186,000.
