Contract Manager

AECOM is seeking a Contract Manager to be based in the Austin/Taylor, TX area.

The job responsibilities include:

• Applying knowledge of AIA contracts
• Overseeing contract review for identifying potential risks to the client, the program, and AECOM
• Subsequently, overseeing and creating any contract term modifications and conditions to mitigate such risks
• Negotiate with subcontractors on contractual issues
• Drafting contractual letters (notice of delay; notice of a claim; demand letter; back charge letter)
• Collecting evidence, taking into account potential claims or litigation
• Conducting site interviews proactively for fact-finding in the event of a claim.
• Utilizing interpersonal skills to conduct investigations for data pertaining to potential claims.
• Able to interact with all team project site members to include engineers, superintendents, and any other stakeholders.
• Writing opinion reports for contractual entitlement
• Responding to claims (cost/extension of time) submitted by subcontractors

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelors degree plus 8 (eight) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• Must be able to pass client required background screenings including drug screen
