What are the responsibilities and job description for the Environmental Scientist II position at AECOM?
AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Environmental Scientist to join our Environmental Remediation group in Wisconsin. We are seeking a candidate who is an excellent communicator and technically capable, with an awareness of relevant Wisconsin regulations. The successful candidate will work under the oversight of an experienced team of engineers and scientists on environmental site assessments, remedial and solid waste design and construction, and environmental support on multi-disciplinary projects along the Wisconsin River Valley and Northern Wisconsin. This position will involve field and office responsibilities with potential for growth.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Project Field and Office Support for Site Assessment and Remediation Projects.
Perform field sampling activities and become proficient with field instrumentation and equipment.
Work on interesting, fast-paced projects with the opportunity to learn and expand skills.
Groundwater monitoring and sampling.
Soil borings and monitoring well installation.
Soil and sediment sampling, including logging and classification.
Remediation system operation and maintenance.
Analytical data analysis.
Report preparation.
Data summaries.
Field sampling for soil, soil vapor and groundwater is required in a variety of environmental settings.

Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Sciences or Engineering; Master's Degree preferred.
2 years of demonstrated equivalency of experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and education.
Valid U.S. Driver's License.
U.S. citizenship required.
Preferred Qualifications
Must be able to do day travel regionally.
Willingness and ability to work outdoors in sometimes challenging conditions.
Good interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable liaising with clients, colleagues and sub-contractors alike.
Flexible with working extended hours and locations, frequent travel within 1 – 3 hrs drive of home office, and occasionally further.
Willingness and ability to learn and rapidly master new tasks.
Scientific research and report writing (including web based research).
Strong analytical and numerical skills.
Excellent written and verbal skills.
Strong quality and time management.
Self-starter, develops and delivers work under own initiative.
Solid attention to detail and thorough approach to work.
Seeking professional registration (e.g. PE or PG) in Wisconsin.
40hr OSHA HAZWOPER certificate.
Microsoft Office, AutoCADD, GIS applications.
