Job Description

AECOM is actively seeking a remote Field Manager for employment within our Federal Remediation Practices group working from Omaha, NE or Oklahoma City, OK or Dallas,TX to support planning, project or task management and supervision of complex field tasks, including site investigations, drilling oversight, soil and groundwater sample collection, and related work. The ideal candidate will have prior experience managing environmental field data collection including drilling, soil logging, well installation and soil, groundwater, and vapor sample collection, and experience in remediation systems operations, maintenance, and monitoring. The primary job location is at Tinker Air Force Base, with secondary work locations at Vance AFB and Altus AFB, all located in Oklahoma.

Tasks will include, but may not be limited to the following:

  • Coordination, scheduling, and oversight of field work including health and safety, planning and correspondence with subcontractors and vendors, field staff and client contacts.

  • Effectively communicating verbally and in writing with team members, base personnel, clients, and other stakeholders.

  • Conducting environmental fieldwork, including soil logging, groundwater and air sampling, fluid level gauging, remediation systems operations, maintenance, and monitoring, and oversight of field surveys, drilling, well installation, development operations and utility clearance for intrusive operations.

  • Experience overseeing drilling operations.

  • Travel to project locations including driving and overnight stays. Field document preparation, field data collection, processing, and interpretation.

  • Supporting office tasks, including data management and analysis and basic technical report preparation.

  • Interpreting and recording data, conducting analyses, and comparing findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Engineering, Environmental Science, Soil science, or closely related field and 4 years of experience in environmental consulting and or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education

  • Valid driver's license

  • Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience in environmental consulting

  • 40-Hour HAZWOPER training

  • OSHA 30-Hour training

  • Task management experience

  • Ability to lead and work independently.

  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds and safely drive a full-size pickup truck.

  • Tolerance for work in outdoor environments in a range of weather conditions and be medically fit for wearing a respirator.

  • Attention to detail and desire to complete quality work products

  • Qualified applicants who are offered a position must pass a pre-employment substance abuse test

  • This position may be subject to a pre-employment Motor Vehicle Record Screening

  • This position does not include sponsorship for United States work authorization

  • Relocate to near Tinker Air Force Base for this position

Compensation

Exempt Position: The offered rate of compensation will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000.
