What are the responsibilities and job description for the Operations Manager position at AECOM?
AECOM Transportation Business is seeking an Operations Manager to support our Georgia surface transportation business based in Atlanta, Georgia. The individual will lead a large group of highly functional and professional staff and must be a thought leader, technically competent, professional, motivated, organized, positive, and encouraging. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
Mentoring and monitoring staff training, goals, year-end reviews, and morale;
Manage resources and staffing workloads;
Determining staffing needs, interviewing prospective candidates, and assisting with onboarding new employees;
Ensure all staff are adequately supplied with equipment, technology, supplies, etc. to perform their jobs and maximize billability;
Serving as a liaison between project managers and AECOM (IT, HR, Accounting, Marketing, Upper Management, etc);
Assisting with marketing efforts including client outreach, proposal prep, and interview prep;
Assisting with Transportation strategic planning (serves as a senior member of GA Transportation)
Serving in program, project and client management support roles;
Serving as a technical liaison for project management and design review

Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or other related disciplines
- Eight (8) years’ experience in the Transportation Design industry
- Professional Engineer registration in Georgia
- Familiarity with GDOT PDP, EDG, PPG, Contracting
