AECOM is actively seeking a talented Senior Environmental Project Manager for immediate employment in our Oakland, California office. In this role (Environmental Project Manager V), you will be responsible for managing AECOM staff, subcontractors, technical delivery, stakeholder engagement and communication, and financial management of the projects you manage. A Bachelor’s Degree in engineering, geology, environmental science or related field is required. Minimum 8 years of experience in Environmental Project Management relative to site investigation and remediation projects is required. Relocation to the Oakland, CA area is required for this position, as it is not a remote position.
Responsibilities for this position may include the following:- Understand site investigation and remediation techniques to drive solutions for our clients.
- Utilizes existing technologies and past experience to develop technical solutions to complex problems.
- Interprets and records data, conducts analyses, compares findings to relevant studies and local, state, and federal regulations to ensure compliance.
- Mentor staff including those aspiring to be project managers.
- Manage portfolio of clients with multiple projects.
- Provides management and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, and a primary liaison between AECOM and client interface. Also supervises project administration,
- projects controls, scheduling, cost control, estimating and procurement representatives.
- Responsible for the overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies.
- Performs work with minimal direction with periodic reporting to area manager.
- Responsible for administering the project from budgeting/schedule stage through procurement and contract closeout. Position has significant profit/loss responsibility for assigned project

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- BS in engineering, geology, environmental science or related field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Environmental Project Management relative to site investigation and remediation projects.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- US Citizen or US Permanent resident.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- MS in engineering, geology, environmental science or related field.
- 15 years of experience in Environmental Project Management relative to site investigation and remediation projects.
- Licensed in the State of California (Professional Engineer or Geologist) or ability to open license within 12 months of hire.
- Experience working with local and state regulatory agencies in California.
- 40-hour HAZWOPER certified (current).
- Experience with regulator and stakeholder negotiations.
- Experience successfully managing environmental projects for various types of clients
- Detail oriented with strong organizational and communication, both verbal and written skills.
- Experience in team management and scheduling of staff and resources to ensure on time and on budget project delivery.
- Superior communication, writing, editing, and reporting skills for a wide variety of audiences.
- Experience preparing proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and change orders.
- Interest in business development.
- Have led teams of professionals in executing Site Investigations, Remedial Investigations, Feasibility Studies, Risk Assessment, and Treatability Studies.
- Occasional overnight travel required

Compensation
Offered rate of compensation in Oakland, CA will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The salary range for this position is $135,000 - $180,000 USD
