The Sr. Project Manager - Transit-Rail position in the Phoenix, AZ office is a key position and will report into the US West Region Transit/Rail Engineering Department.

Job Responsibilities
The position includes responsibility for business development, management of transit studies, preliminary design and final design of transit infrastructure projects including BRT, LRT, Streetcar, Commuter Rail, Heavy Rail, and High Speed Rail throughout the western United States. Clients can include Valley Metro, City of Phoenix, DART, LA Metro, BART, Caltrains, San Diego MTS, UTA, RTD and more. The successful candidate may be asked to serve as an AECOM team and/or discipline lead, project manager and/or technical task leader on selected projects and will coordinate, cooperate, and work collaboratively with others in the AECOM US West Region.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
BA/BS plus ten (10) years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
Preferred Qualifications
PE license in one or more states in the western US or ability to obtain
Experience in using MS Office highly preferred
Experience with business development and client relations
Experience designing transit and transportation infrastructure
Experience with design software including Microstation and GEOPAK and/or OpenRoads
Track and manage task budgets and schedule
Demonstrate leadership skills and communication skills requiring client interaction
Ability to work with various multi-disciplined teams is essential to this role
Provide in-depth Quality Control and Quality Assurance for design/project management/program management.

- Directs and managers the entire project, guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, and a primary liaison between AECOM and client interface.
- Accountable for all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule.
- Overall responsibility and management of project including but not limited to budgeting/schedule stage, procurement, through contract closeout.
- Position has primary fiscal responsibility and key liaison between client for assigned project.
