Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Traffic Engineering Intern to be based in Omaha, Nebraska .

This position is expected to begin in May or June 2024.

The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Internships are designed to introduce and build essential, hands-on skills that differ from those attained in the academic arena and help to enhance the transition from student to professional.

• Interns are assigned duties that will provide a broad, well-rounded leaning experience within transportation engineering.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

• Candidates must be currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or a Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering with the intent to continue after the internship, unless graduating.

• Candidates must have completed one year of study in their program.

• Valid U.S. Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices.

• As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records review.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge in using CAD and MS Office.

• Experience with VISSIM, Synchro, or traffic modeling.

• Relocation assistance is not available for this position.

• Sponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this position.

• This position requires a hybrid work schedule which includes in office work in Omaha, NE . The selected candidate must be available to work in Omaha, NE on a scheduled basis.

• Offered rate of compensation ( Nebraska locations only) will be based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. The hourly range is $16.52 – 22.71/hr .
