Position Summary:
The Sr Software Engineer-Mobile is responsible for implementing solutions within the context of multiple platforms, SaaS products, and cloud applications at AEG Presents. The Sr. Developer works closely with IT and Business stakeholders to identify, analyze, and resolve mobile application deficiencies and implement high-quality modern software solutions. The incumbent is also expected to gain expertise with the AEG Presents Enterprise CRM that manages mobile app content and proprietary Android and iOS mobile apps. This position is also responsible for implementing designs, performing rapid prototyping, and reviewing code to develop enterprise-grade solutions. The incumbent also provides internal and external teams feedback on building the most robust software platforms possible.
Essential Functions:
- Develop mobile applications and related architecture for mobile platforms by using test-driven development methodology (i.e., iterative methodology that prioritizes creating and checking test cases at every stage of software development) to support Presents music festivals for the best possible fan experience via use of our proprietary mobile applications.
- Research, evaluate and recommend open source or commercially available development tools (e.g., linters, static code analysis, etc.), technologies, and processes to ensure the highest quality product platform. Document findings on industry best practices and emerging technologies for team members’ reference/use.
- Participate and provide feedback during app development sprint meetings (pre-iteration, iteration, and retrospectives stages) to maintain optimal development team synchronicity between stakeholders, perspective end users and engineers.
- Solve for app related business needs (e.g., stakeholder app requirement changes, app functionality requests, etc.) and defects through solutions analysis, design, and implementation in our mobile apps that support our festivals.
- Perform peer-to-peer code reviews that are detailed and thoughtful to ensure our teams deliver the highest performing and most resilient software possible.
Required Qualifications:
- BA/BS Degree (4-year) (Advanced Degree Preferred) in Computer Science or related technical area
- 4-6 years of overall software development experience, with an emphasis on mobile engineering.
- Experience with iOS development experience with Swift and Objective C.
- Experience with AWS, Lambda functions and Node.JS
- Experience working in a startup environment preferred
- Current knowledge on MVVM C (Reactive Swift), Coordinator pattern, SwiftLink, XCodeGen, Unit testing frameworks
- High proficiency in database technologies including MySQL, DynamoDB, MSSQL, Azure Synapse, noSQL, T-SQL, Stored Procedures
- Strong understand and experience working Cloud Platforms (e.g., AWS Azure GCP)
- Maintained knowledge of current innovations and relevant technologies
- Knowledge of live entertainment industry preferred
Pay Scale: $112,000.00-$140,000.00
