Summary:
The AMS (Academic Multimedia Services) Student Video Technician is responsible for recording, editing, and processing video and creating graphics where needed. Student Video Technicians work as a group to share and carry out responsibilities on a scheduled basis. Student Video Technicians also help maintain staff presence in the AMS office and Simple Studio, coordinating with clients to meet their needs.
Responsibilities:
Recording, editing, and processing video from classes, university events, and Simple Studio.
Assisting other AMS and AV members with classroom and event production.
Organizing and maintaining footage on storage devices.
Organizing and maintaining AMS equipment and the Simple Studio.
Maintaining staff presence in the AMS office and Simple Studio.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
Part-Time.
15 hours per week.
Salary Range:
$17.50 per hour.
Required Education and Experience:
High school diploma or its equivalent.
Excellent customer service, organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and multitask.
Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
Ability to adapt to changing situations in order to maintain quality control.
Eager to learn new video production skills.
Preferred Education and Experience:
Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud products.
Experience with professional HD camcorders and other video/audio equipment.
Strong knowledge of video recording/editing techniques.
