Our new Vice President of Information Technology will report to the company’s Chief Financial Officer and will build and lead a new global IT organization to advance the company’s strategies and operational execution. IT is an essential element of the company’s agenda. Having doubled the size of our workforce and expanded into several new global markets over the past year, this new role will make a meaningful impact on the company’s future. At it’s core, IT’s mission is to create an environment that has each and every member of the workforce performing at their very best, and this will serve as the core agenda for our new leader.
ResponsibilitiesThe Vice President of IT is expected to build and lead a small team of global professionals, and is also expected to roll up his or her sleeves to be a hands-on contributor and thought leader in the company. That leadership will be directed at a few key areas:
- Proactive planning: leverage a deep understanding of the global IT landscape and strong analytical skills to determine what elements of technology will make the greatest impact within our operating environment. Identify key requirements, collect data on available solutions, and then concisely recommend the appropriate direction to stakeholders and decision makers.
- Client environment: evaluate and execute on a best-in-class personal computing environment across our global workforce, including PC and Mac devices and relevant mobile device management utilities such as autopilot and Jamf.
- Network design and management: establish and maintain a secure, global network to connect our workforce, our systems, and our partners with high availability and performance.
- Information security and privacy: support and advance the company's commitment to the ISO 27001 security standard and related privacy obligations.
- Application environment: support an evolving set of needs for internally hosted and cloud-based applications across the diverse organizations within the company.
- Standards and documentation: leaders leave artifacts so others can follow their path, and this position will require strong communication skills - both written and oral - in order to accomplish the mission.
