Production Control Planner (1060-A)

The outlook for the company is strong as it continues to set higher goals for sustained success together.   Position Summary Responsible for overall product movement in alignment with build schedules and delivery commitments.   Essential Functions ·         Schedule work through assigned business units. ·         Drive assigned product priorities through support functions and shared resources. ·         Maintain awareness and coordination, and expedite as needed current critical parts to fruition. ·         Timely elevation of unsolvable delivery issues relative to commitments to our customers. ·         Provide estimated part completions in daily production meetings. ·         Work with area managers on optimizing employee work assignments. ·         Determine and coordinate off-shift and weekend work priorities. ·         Work with area managers to identify and solve delivery and constraint issues. ·         Support release of material.   Competencies ·         Strong organizational skills. ·         Operate with a sense of urgency while always focusing on safety and quality. ·         Strong written and verbal communication skills. ·         Ability to understand, follow and provide both written and verbal instructions. ·         Excellent attitude and teamwork. ·         Able to navigate various computer software programs in support of position. ·         Solid understanding of MRP principles. ·         Ability to learn and adapt to changes on the manufacturing floor. ·         Continuous improvement mindset that promotes company-wide, positive change   Experience and Education ·         A minimum of 5 years in aerospace manufacturing. ·         At least 3 years of MRP and/or ERP systems use. ·         Proficient in Microsoft Excel, as well as other Microsoft products. ·         Strong understanding of a manufacturing value stream. ·         High school diploma or equivalent required.   Supervisory Responsibility This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.   Work Authorization US Person (Green Card Holder or United States Citizen) due to government contracts.   Work Environment The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
