Junior IT Technician

Summary:
Aero-Graphics maintains a state-of-the-art data center with over 4Pb of on-line data storage connected via 100GB switch gear that supports 10GB drops to every desktop within our corporate facility. Our production staff can easily add 30Tb of data per day and demand performance, stability, security, and reliability. We’re seeking a strong candidate that has the aptitude and drive to ensure that our systems and production staff are well supported. Ideally you have hand built all your own PC hardware from components and can script processes to ensure robust and repeatable resolutions to issues.
The Help Desk Technician works to manage corporate technology needs, including implementing and maintaining workstations and other infrastructure at our headquarters in Salt Lake City. Primary duties include solving a variety of OS, application, and other problems, both remote and onsite. The position demands expert knowledge in Windows systems, applications, and basic networking.
Job Description:
The Junior IT Technician will be responsible for providing technical support to end-users, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and maintaining computer systems and networks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and software applications, as well as excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Provide technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person
- Troubleshoot hardware and software issues
- Install and configure computer systems and networks
- Maintain computer systems and networks
- Assist with the implementation of new software applications
- Document technical issues and solutions
- Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex technical issues
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in a technical support role
- Strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and software applications
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Fundamental understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS and Proxy Server.
- Basic programing skills in Python, C# or PowerShell.
- Good understanding of desktop/laptop hardware and BIOS.
- Ability to install and manage Windows & Linux systems.
- Working knowledge of Azure Active Directory administration and other MS technologies (Office 365) in corporate environments.
- Net , A and/or CCENT certifications a plus.
- IT certificates a plus (e.g., Apple ACSP, Microsoft, CompTia).
