Project Manager

Aero Heating & Ventilating, an industry leader in commercial, institutional, and industrial ductwork design and installation, is seeking a highly motivated and passionate Project Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for project performance and profit from day one, leading projects from initial bid through finalization. This role is based in Westbrook, Maine, covering a geographic area from midcoast Maine to southern New Hampshire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with foreman and other trades to review and address all project logistics both before project mobilization and ongoing throughout the process.
• Maintain and communicate project timeline, managing any changes and ensuring appropriate communication and documentation both internal and external.
• Monitor and follow up with approval process of submittals and change orders.
• Update and maintain construction documents for Foreman and office.
• Communicate regularly with internal and external customers and team members to resolve challenges and coordinate activities.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards on all jobs, coordinating correction of any potential challenges or safety concerns.
• Prepare and monitor project schedules, resources, and budgets to ensure targets are met, communicating status to team regularly.
• Prepare accurate requisition billings for capturing costs of approved change order work.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, or a related field.
• Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) highly recommended but not required.
• 3-5 years sheet metal, commercial HVAC, mechanical trade management experience or field-related construction duties.
• Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Intermediate proficiency with project management software such as Bluebeam, Procore, and Navisworks.
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to articulate needs, challenges, and plans to others.
• Ability to see projects big picture and small scale simultaneously, looking at long-term and details simultaneously.
• Understanding of construction workflow and process; able to plan accordingly and communicate effectively with team.
• Solid leader who can successfully demonstrate the ability to work independently while still functioning as part of a team.
• Ability to prioritize numerous competing demands and complete those demands according to their priority.
• Demonstrated history of problem solving and drive to achieve positive results.
• Ability to establish individual tasks and durations to ensure a project team stays on or ahead of schedule.
