The Lead Quality Inspector position is responsible for ensuring that materials and products meet quality requirements before they are sent to a customer. Assess the condition of the product, from its raw material stage to being a completed product; ensuring that it is not damaged or have any defects. The use of testing and measuring equipment is required to conduct these inspections. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: • Work in a fast-paced environment. • Perform inspections at random intervals to determine product quality. • Perform inspections on parts and complete assemblies utilizing calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices. • Read and interpret drawings. • Maintain quality records. • Accepting or rejecting finished products and discussing the inspection results with the Quality Manager or Production Manager. • Perform In-House Calibration as required. • Work requires individual to enter plant areas where performance factors such as: heat, humidity, noise, lifting of materials and working around equipment will be encountered. • Comply with all safety requirements and proper use of PPE (Personal Protection Equipment). • Other related activities as deemed necessary. • Ability to follow directions carefully and ask questions if unclear of directions. • Ability to work quickly and accurately with attention to detail. • Ability to stand for extended periods of time. • Ability to work with minimum supervision without disturbing others.
