Non-Destructive Testing Technician (NDT Tech)
SUMMARY:
Technician performs Non-Destructive testing on turbine engines and other components. Testing methods include Liquid Penetrant and Magnetic Particle. Must work with written instructions and understand Technical Orders. Reports to Director of Quality Systems.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Examine for porosity, fusion, depth and crack characterization.
Inspection of welded, cast and machined structures.
Able to correctly interpret any anomalies and accept or reject items per the technical order.
Ability to support a high-volume manufacturing department.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Able to setup and perform all daily process/performance checks.
Manage time efficiently; have good planning and organizational skills; able to apply good decision-making skills.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
1-2 years’ experience with magnetic particle and liquid penetrant.
Ability to manage time efficiently; have good planning and organizational skills.
Ability to apply good decision-making skills.
Read/write English.
Good mathematical skills; basic computer skills.
Detail oriented; positive attitude.
EDUCATION:
1-2 years' experience with magnetic particle and liquid penetrant.
High School diploma or GED; AA degree preferred.
ANST Level II certification.
PAY RANGE:
$21.00 - $26.00 per hour
