Opening for an on-site Licensed Counselor to serve military service members and their families

Aerobodies Fitness is hiring for an empathetic, supportive and motivational licensed counselor who can proactively help military families overcome service-related and every day challenges such as deployment, work/life balance, and family stress. The program aims to meet the counseling and community connection needs of service members, veterans, and retirees throughout Idaho

*Salaried full-time position, (no “billable” hours)Salary Range $65,000 - $80,000 (depending on experience)

 
Required Qualifications:

• LICENSE- Idaho state license, LPC, LCPC, LMFT, LCSW

• EDUCATION – Master’s Degree, as well as demonstrated capability with wide age range in field, with a minimum of one year experience working in a behavior health field.

• Knowledge of trauma treatment preferred. Training with modalities such as CPT, DBT, and/or EMDR. (Other EBTs may be accepted upon approval by supervisor)

• Demonstrated experience with military families is highly desired. 

Scheduling Details:

• The core working hours are Monday through Friday between 07:30(am) to 4:30(pm), some weekends may be needed due to Idaho National Guard scheduling

• Some opportunity for paid (reimbursable) travel

Duties include, but are not limited to the following:

• Work within Idaho Service Member and Family Support to provide counseling services for a wide range of issues, as well as a wide age range. 

• Work with clients from assessment, through exit planning/referral, with continuing monitoring of clinical progress when needed.

• Work with an integrated team of professionals to staff cases relative to high-risk clients in an effort to maintain cohesive, wrap-around services

• Opportunities to be a part of public outreach including welcome home events, brigade education, crisis intervention and response, debriefs after significant events, 

• Interface with substance abuse team to provide training and education.

• Manage a system of record keeping

• Attend specialized training courses, seminars and meetings to maintain awareness of information and resources supporting initiatives for Service Members.

• Become knowledgeable on state and federal programs available to support the needs of the Service Members and families.
