Aerojet Rocketdyne has an immediate need for an experienced Tax Manager at our corporate headquarters in El Segundo, CA (Los Angeles area).
Relocation assistance is available. This position can be fulfilled partially remote.

Essential Job Functions (Including % of Time for Each)
25% - ASC 740: Preparation/review of financial statement tax provisions utilizing ASC 740 on a quarterly basis, including drafting of financial statement disclosures.
25% - Income Tax Compliance: Preparation/review of federal and state income tax compliance.
25% - Technical Support for: Property tax, sales use tax, payroll tax, 1099 reporting and other miscellaneous tax compliance and reporting, including special projects such as managing tax aspects of fixed asset system implementation
10% - Federal and State Audits: Assist with federal and state income/sales tax audits. Respond to various tax notices received from federal, state, and local taxing authorities.
5% - Tax Planning Strategies: Tax planning to reduce corporate effective tax rate. Identify, analyze, and discuss effective tax planning strategies for GenCorp and related entities.
5% - Tax Research: Research in detail and document various tax issues using the Internal Revenue Code, regulations, Revenue Rulings & Procedures, court cases, and standard online and hard copy tax services. Prepare internal memorandums for management regarding tax research findings.
5% SECONDARY FUNCTIONS: 5% - Continuing Education: Remain current in new tax law changes and tax developments.
Requirements
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or Accounting (or a related major) and nine (9) years of directly related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Requires CPA designation (active or inactive).
Tax experience with a Big 4 Accounting firm and/or SEC registrant preferred.
Masters in Taxation is a plus.
Proficiency in Corporate Tax compliance and provision software is preferred.
Requires U.S. Citizenship, U.S. Permanent Residency or other status as a U.S. Person. Must be able to satisfy federal government requirements for access to government information and having dual citizenship may preclude you from being able to meet this requirement.
