Aerometals is looking to add the following position:

Engineer

Pay range: $42-$60 hourly

The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to:

• Review government, commercial, aerospace/defense contracts.
• Review drawings, engineering document packages, part markings, packaging, and government/commercial specifications.
• Coordinate with shop leads to determine manufacturing plans.
• Create in-depth job templates with detailed operation instructions for detail parts or assemblies.
• Work with purchasing/vendors as needed to determine routing requirements for special processes.
• Use ERP software to integrate drawing/engineering data requirements and contract exceptions into complete component trees, indentured Bills of Materials, and part travelers.
• Develop engineering data to include drawings, specifications, test plans, test reports, stress reports, fatigue reports, assembly procedures, installation procedures, maintenance procedures, manufacturing travelers, and any other engineering reports deemed appropriate for the product being developed.
• Develop 2D or 3D models of parts, engineering drawings of mechanical and electrical parts, and assemblies conforming to Aerometals drawing standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the organization.

Qualification Requirements:

Education: Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Aerospace Engineering degree or equivalent

Skills:

• Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Proficient in Adobe Acrobat.
• Knowledgeable in manufacturing processes.
• ERP/MRP system and/or JobBOSS knowledge preferred.
• Ability to create and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T per ASME Y14.5 standards.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD and SolidWorks CAD programs.
• Familiarity of design for manufacturing, composite design, and composite tooling design.
• Familiarity with ANSYS DEA and CFD or equivalent.

Experience:  5 years in Engineering or related field 

Training: On the job training.

Aerometals Inc. of El Dorado Hills, California is a 40-year veteran of commercial and military aerospace manufacturing. We offer a full range of production services including CNC machining and turning, sheet metal fabrication, welding, assembly, autoclave, and precision assembly.
