Hartzell Aerospace Welding is looking for an eager Production QC Inspector to support our growing business.

Requirements

Key Deliverables / Requirements of the Position:

• Accurate and timely inspection of parts using a variety of precision measuring tools (Romer Arm, CMM, Planar, hand tools, etc.)

• Understanding and using manufacturing ERP systems.

• Following instructions, procedures, specifications, and requirements for all jobs.

• Able to complete documentation properly and accurately according to HAW Quality standards.

• Interpreting customer drawings and performing inspection for conformance

• Critical thinking to uphold quality requirements in a fast pace, dynamic environment.

• Preferred understanding of AS9100, ISO, and Nadcap requirements but not required

• Able to perform visual weld inspection preferred but not required

• Ability to perform part marking, pressure testing, and daily calibration activities, and other duties as assigned


Required Education and Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required

• 1 – 2 years’ experience in a Quality position in a manufacturing environment.

• Understanding of basic inspection gauges, calipers, and other precision measuring tools.

• Understanding of drawings, blueprints, and basic GD&T.

• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations.

• Ability to read, interpret, and follow customer specifications, internal procedures, safety policies, guidelines and work instructions

• Able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs. if/when needed


Required Technical Competencies

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Proficient Computer Skills         

      a.  Microsoft Office       

      b.  Experience with ERP Systems; Epicor Vista preferred

· A working understanding of Quality requirements, customer flow-downs, AS9100/ISO approvals.

· Ability to communicate and ask clarifying questions and understand the workflow in order to properly troubleshoot issues.
