What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assembler position at Aerotek?

Equivalent Experience

Description:

My client is looking for candidates to join their assembly team for both 1st and 2nd shift. They are targeting candidates that will be assembling the food equipment they produce such as hot dog rollers, food warming equipment (like what you see at Kwik Trip where the pizza and sandwiches are). Candidates will need to be able to read a work instruction / template / diagram - similar to one you would find inside of a box if you were putting together a dresser, table, or something you buy at a store that labels where there screws go, where the bolts go, when to use a washer or locknut, etc...

The work instructions have measurements so candidates will need to be able to read a tape measure and lift up to 25 -30 pounds routinely. Hand and power tools primarily screwguns, screwdrivers, wrenches, socket sets, rubber mallets, hammers, levels, and hex wrenches are the primary tools used when putting the products together. Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail as well as following instructions are important so employees aren't skipping steps and needing to do re-work when they mess up because they skipped steps 3&4 and went to 5 first ( as an example).

Candidates will need to be able to work standing up, on their knees, bending and stooping repeatedly.

1st shift: 5AM-1:30PM (OT after the shift as needed)

2nd shift: 1:30PM - 12:00 AM (M-Th) OT on Fridays when needed
