What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Lathe Machinist position at Aerotek?
Description:
Responsible for following prescribed standards of CNC operations, Set-ups of prototype and established processes. Responsible for meeting cycle times of those processes in the machine shop. Should have knowledge of, and be responsible for supporting lean manufacturing principles and teamwork throughout the company.
· Setup equipment to run production according to blueprints.
· Develop and maintain product/setup documentation.
· Troubleshoot processes, programs, equipment and tooling.
· Program shop floor Mazatrol and edit CNC programs to maintain product quality.
· Manage workload and changing priorities.
· Design and build fixtures and work-holding devices
Skills:
Quality assurance, Cnc, Blueprint, Mill, Quality control, Machining, Calipers, Haas, trouble shoot, cad software, prototype machining
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
Setup equipment to run production and or prototype parts according to blueprints
Develop new work instructions for prototype parts
Troubleshoot processes, programs, equipment & tooling
Shop floor programming and editing of CNC programs to maintain product quality
Pay attention to detail.
Exhibit critical thinking.
Be proactive in maintaining established company policies and manufacturing strategies.
Take an active role in organizing and improving current processes when necessary
