What are the responsibilities and job description for the Cnc Machine Operator position at Aerotek?
Description:
A CNC Machine Operator is responsible for operating the horizontal machining centers and for deburring and inspecting parts
Responsibilities:
- Produce manifold blocks and other parts using the various machining centers throughout the machine shop
- Consistently follow established quality and safety procedures
- Document and report inspection findings using provided quality control documents
- Identify and report non-conforming material through the proper procedures
- Be proficient with basic hand/power tools used in fixturing and deburring
- Be proficient with measurement devices used in the inspection process
- Preserve a clean work environment through daily work area maintenance
- Evaluate alarms with a set-up operator to minimize machine downtime
- Participate in defect investigation, root cause analysis, countermeasure implementation, and quality gate review
- Apply TPS (Toyota Production Systems) principles to daily activities
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- 1-3 years experience in related production level manufacturing role
- High School Diploma or GED
- Aptitude to learn specific processes and materials
- Proficient use of gauges and tolerances
