Construction Laborers Needed. Up to $20-$21 hr in State College, PA
Aerotek, voted Best of Staffing, is hiring laborers who will perform entry level plumbing and pipefitting duties with a commercial construction company. Starting pay of $20 and up to $21/hour (paid weekly). Ideal candidate would be looking for a long term opportunity and grow with a company, and be willing to be a part of an exciting team.
Job Duties:
o This position will consist of the support for plumbers on a high rise in State College. Top candidate should come into the role with a working knowledge of commercial/industrial construction. Will be doing underground pipefitting, running utilities into the structure. Will run pipe up to 8" diameter through the facility. Black pipe, galvanized, PEX, and stainless-steel pipe will be run. Inside the high rise plumbers will be running PEX and PVC through the upper 11 stories which are apartments for over 260 units. PVC they will run for drainage and mains. Will need to be able to tie off lines. PEX piping will be run through the apartment units. Candidates should have strong understanding of plumbing systems on a commercial scale. Need to have their own basic hand tools, including a drill/impact gun. Power equipment will be provided.
Job Qualifications:
o 1 year experience in commercial construction or plumbing/pipefitting.
o Would consider experience from a plumbing trade school or any trade school.
Shift
o 40 hours a week minimum.
o Must work overtime when required.
o Schedule will be day shift.
