Description:
Field and remote support including installation, service, programming, and training to end user customers and staff to improve the level of customer service, sales, and technical support to all external and internal customers.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Daily:
1. Receive, understand, and execute work orders which may involve any or all of the following:
- Installation and programming of new material such as access control, video surveillance, intercoms, low voltage systems, computer systems, software, and electrified hardware.
- Troubleshoot and/or modify new and existing material on site or remote as necessary
- Disassembly and removal of electrical product and/or door hardware.
- Training of customers on new and existing systems and software.
2. Review upcoming job paperwork and associated documents, asking questions of project engineers and sales staff when appropriate.
3. Remain Safety Aware by familiarizing yourself with potential risks or hazards associated with scheduled work and take necessary preventative action to avoid injury to yourself or others.
4. Complete electronic log sheets thoroughly with detail indicating scope of work accomplished, materials used or not used, customer signature, and any other appropriate project specific notes.
5. Use professional, courteous, and constructive communication with all customers and coworkers.
Weekly / Monthly / As Necessary:
1.) Assist project managers and sales staff with staging equipment in the shop, programming systems, and training of customers.
2.) Provide “As-built” wiring diagrams at the completion of projects to be added to job files for historical purposes.
3.) Bench test and evaluate new or existing products/systems for troubleshooting or future usage consideration.
4.) Attend on-line and in-person Manufacturer and Industry training and certification on products and applications.
5.) Read books, manuals, periodicals, technical reports and perform web-based research to learn about new technologies.
7.) Standard work week with the ability to accommodate flexible work hours. Occasional travel is required with the position.

ESA CAT Level 1 Certification
NICET Certification beneficial.
